Checking in

Let’s see… since the last post, I’ve left my old day job, started a new (and awesome!) day job, and colored in lots of my own pages. 😉

Last time I was talking about iterating, and about making the kind of coloring book I want to buy. So I’ve been experimenting off and on with different size coloring books, and different cover styles, and a coloring journal design.

I haven’t gotten around to publishing anything new yet, but I *have* discovered that I really like coloring in a 6″ x 9″ format! Here are a few of the pages I’ve done over the past few months.

So, why post now?
The Coloring Co-Op Group on Facebook! (yes, I’m still on Facebook…)
It’s an awesome group for both people who create coloring books and people who color in them, and even when I’m busy with other stuff I enjoy the nudge to remember how much I enjoy coloring. More specifically with regards to this post, they’re having a Christmas in July event, and I signed up to host a day! (I think it’s July 27th, but I need to double-check.)

Scary… because it meant committing to do something with my coloring book plans. Exciting… because it meant committing to do something with my coloring book plans. 😉

So, we’ll see how it goes, but if you’re following these blogs I invite you to check out the group and all the spectacular artists hosting the other days. There are free pages, shopping discounts, and contests, depending on the host.

Until later (hopefully before another 8 months go by), enjoy your coloring!
